Application
So the students had a chance to make one of the Spring Whirling Wheels today. I gave them two options to choose from...One was to write in multiplication problems they still felt they needed to learn and master (as we have covered x already this year) and the other was to write in the 9's multiplication facts. Majority ruled with a vote to write in the 9's and study it for homework. The tricky 9's won! Those 9's... :) We are preparing to get ready to learn the longer and bigger digit problems soon, so the wheel is acting like a review.
